Macworld | iWorld

I attended my first Macworld Expo in Boston in 1987. If you were there, you might have seen me working at the MACazine booth. I attended every San Francisco and Boston/New York Macworld Expo from 1987 to 2014. In its last few years, the event’s name was changed to Macworld | iWorldSadly, Macworld | iWorld is no more.

In the 1990's, I began presenting sessions at the Expo, and continued to do so until the final event in 2014. Here is a list of my last few years’ of sessions:

San Francisco: March 27-29, 2014

Confessions of an Apple Writer. I am retiring from speaking at Macworld. In this, my final session, I offer a look back at my career.

"I’ll try to share some of the wisdom I’ve managed to acquire — tracing my own career path along side of the evolution of tech media—from writing for magazines to writing books to doing a website. Along the way, I’ll include personal behind-the-scenes anecdotes, many of which I have never publicly revealed before. Finally, I’ll offer a few thoughts as to the future direction of the Apple universe."

MacNotables. Chuck Joiner and I did a "live from the floor" podcast on the final day of the Expo.

iOS File Sharing Unleashed. Want to share a file between your Mac and iOS device? What about moving a document from one app on your iOS device to another? Or how about transferring a file from your iPhone to your iPad? All this and more is covered.

Mac 911 Live...with myself, Christopher Breen and Serenity Caldwell

San Francisco: January 26-29, 2011

iOS: Under the Hood. This session delves "under the hood" of iOS to explore topics that go beyond the basics of what you'll find in typical iOS manuals.

Bugs & Fixes: Real World Mac Troubleshooting. From the pages of Macworld's Bugs & Fixes column, I explore how to solve problems on your Mac (and iPhone!).
